Do you have limited resources or income? Do you have to choose between your monthly prescriptions and other expenses? Oklahoma Human Services offers programs to help low-income seniors and persons with disabilities to apply for two programs that help pay for their Medicare expenses:
Low Income Subsidy (LIS) – the LIS program, also known as "Extra Help" provides assistance for Medicare Part D. Beneficiaries could save thousands of dollars a year by reducing their monthly prescription drug costs.
Medicare Savings Programs (MSP) – these benefits, available through the state Medicaid agency, helps cover Medicare premiums and may help pay for your hospital and doctor visits by reducing or eliminating your copay and/or deductibles.
