Oklahoma City Police Department spread holiday cheer with partnership with OKDHS

Though we often think of Santa’s merry elves dressed in green with pointy-toed slippers, sometimes they are actually dressed in police uniforms or carrying state-issued badges.

That was the case a couple weeks ago when five children received bicycles donated to the Oklahoma City Police Department that were delivered by officers and OKDHS employees who had helped make the holidays a little brighter for families facing challenges. The month before those same families also received their Thanksgiving turkey dinners from OKDHS as a little extra support.

As 2020 has proven again and again, sometimes we all need a little help. We are thankful to the OKCPD, NorthCare, our own employees, and many other community partners who have stepped forward again and again to support families in need.

#ourOKDHS wishes you and yours a very happy holiday season!
