Interested counties, municipalities, Tribal Nations, and eligible nonprofits in the designated counties listed above are encouraged to apply through a structured subapplication process, which replaces the previous first-come, first-served model. This change is designed to improve efficiency and project funding success. If funding remains after serving eligible subapplicants in these 25 counties, entities from other counties will be invited to apply.

Key dates include:

  • Notice of Intent (NOI) Submission Deadline: June 30, 2025 (Submit in OK EMGrants)
  • Subapplication Submission Deadline: September 19, 2025 (Submit in FEMA Go)
  • Anticipated Award Announcement: Spring 2026
  • Projected Project Start: Summer 2026

Eligible activities include safe room construction, flood hazard mitigation, structural retrofits, wildfire mitigation, and hazard mitigation planning, among others. Subapplications must demonstrate cost-effectiveness and align with local and state Hazard Mitigation Plans. Technical assistance is available through OEM, though full application development support is not provided.
