The projects below are weather permitting:

US-412 narrows to one lane at 209th W. Ave. near Sand Springs

East and westbound US-412 are narrowed to one lane in each direction at 209th W. Ave. near Sand Springs through mid-March for bridge painting. 

SH-151 narrowed to one lane at Lake Keystone Dam through early March

SH-151 is narrowed to one lane with temporary traffic signals controlling traffic at Lake Keystone Dam through early March for surface testing by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

Ongoing Highway Construction Projects

 

I-44/US-75 interchange improvement continues through summer 2028

A major interchange improvement project continues at the interchange of I-44 and US-75 through summer 2028. Current closures include:

  • The east and westbound I-44 ramps to northbound US-75 are closed. Drivers can detour using eastbound I-244 to northbound US-75.
  • The southbound US-75 ramp to westbound I-44 is closed. Drivers can detour using westbound I-244.
  • The southbound US-75 ramp to eastbound I-44 is closed. Drivers can detour using westbound I-244 to eastbound I-44.
  • The eastbound I-44 off-ramp to Skelly Dr. near Lawton Ave. has been permanently closed
  • The southbound US-75 on-ramp from 41st St. is closed.
  • The right lane of I-44 that exits to southbound US-75 will be closed through January for paving. The westbound I-44 ramp to southbound US-75 will remain open.
  • 49th St. closed between Santa Fe Ave. and Olympia Ave. through April.
  • 51st St. is closed between Jackson Ave. and Olympia Ave.
  • 46th St. is narrowed to one lane at US-75 with temporary traffic signals.
  • Skelly Dr. is narrowed to one lane between Lawton Ave. and Elwood Ave. East and westbound traffic will both be directed onto eastbound I-44 with no through traffic past the ramp.

 

I-44, SH-66 interchange improvement continues in Catoosa through early 2027

Lane closures continue on east and westbound I-44, SH-66 and the I-44/Will Rogers Turnpike ramp to westbound I-44 in Catoosa for an interchange improvement project. Lanes are also narrowed in width. Two lanes of traffic on I-44 will be maintained in both directions at peak travel times. Current traffic impacts include:

  • The westbound I-44 off-ramp to northbound SH-66 is closed. SH-66 traffic can detour using the 165th E. Ave. exit to rejoin eastbound I-44 and take the northbound SH-66 exit.
  • The southbound SH-66 ramp to westbound I-44 has a limited merge area.
  • The eastbound I-44 exit lane for SH-66 is shifted west of 193rd E. Ave.
  • Eastbound I-44 traffic is shifted at 193rd E. Ave.
  • The eastbound I-44 on-ramp from 193rd E. Ave. has a limited merge area.

 

I-244 off-ramp at 2nd St. (W leg IDL) closed

The westbound I-244 off-ramp to 2nd St. (west leg of the Inner Dispersal Loop) is closed through 2026 for a bridge rehabilitation project. Heavy Traffic Way is also closed below the ramp.

 

US-75 narrowed to one lane between 56th St. N. and 66th St. N.

North and southbound US-75 are narrowed to one lane in each direction between 56th St. N. and 66th St. N. through summer 2026 for bridge rehabilitation.

  • The northbound US-75 on-ramp from 56th St. N. is closed.

 

US-75 narrows to one lane near Creek Turnpike in Jenks

North and southbound US-75 are narrowed to one lane in each direction between SH-364/Creek Turnpike and 96th St. in Jenks through fall 2026 for a bridge rehabilitation project.

 

US-169 widening project in Owasso continues through summer 2026

Work continues on a widening project on US-169 between 66th St. N. and 86th St N. in Owasso. Two lanes in each direction will be maintained during peak travel times. Drivers should expect narrowed lanes and a reduced speed limit through the work zone.
