The projects below are weather permitting:
I-44 narrows at S.W. 15th St. Wednesday night
Westbound I-44 (runs south) will be narrowed at S.W. 15th St. from 7 p.m. Wednesday to midnight for safety device repairs.
I-44 shoulder closes at S.W. 149th St. Wednesday, Thursday nights
The east and westbound I-44 (runs north and south) shoulders will be intermittently closed between S.W. 149th St. and the H.E. Bailey Turnpike from 7 p.m. Wednesday to 4 a.m. Thursday and again from 7 p.m. Thursday to 4 a.m. Friday for maintenance.
I-40 narrows at I-35 Thursday
Eastbound I-40 will be intermittently narrowed south of I-35 over the North Canadian River from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday for routine bridge inspection.
SH-3/NW Expressway closes at Morgan Rd. Thursday
Westbound SH-3/NW Expressway will have intermittent lane closures between W. Hefner Rd. and N. Morgan Rd. from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday for an Oklahoma Turnpike Authority bridge project.
I-44 ramp to SH-152 closes, SH-152 narrows Thursday, Friday
The following closures will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday and Friday for on-going work in the area:
- The westbound I-44 off-ramp to westbound SH-152 will be closed
- The westbound SH-152 off-ramp to northbound Meridian Ave. will be closed
- The left lane of westbound SH-152 will be closed between Meridian Ave. and I-44
- The eastbound I-44 (runs north) ramp to westbound SH-152 will be narrowed
I-44 ramp at Western Ave. closes, I-44 narrows to one lane Thursday night
The following will take place from 7 p.m. Thursday to 6 a.m. Friday for ongoing construction in the area:
- Eastbound I-44 off-ramp to Western Ave. will be closed
- Eastbound I-44 will be narrowed to one lane between Classen Blvd. and Western Ave.
I-44 narrowed at Pennsylvania Ave. through spring 2027
Eastbound I-44 is narrowed to two lanes between Penn Ave. and Western Ave. through spring 2027 for a bridge replacement project.
- The westbound I-44 off-ramp to Classen Blvd. is closed
- The eastbound I-44 on-ramp from Classen Circle. is closed
- The eastbound I-44 off-ramp to Western Ave. will remain open at this time (except Thursday night, July 16)
- The eastbound I-44 on-ramp from eastbound N.W. Expressway will have a limited merge area. Drivers need to use caution.

Ongoing Construction Projects:
I-240 narrows at I-35 through 2026
The following closures are scheduled for east and westbound I-240, S.E. 59th St., Pole Rd. and I-240/I-35 service roads as part of a multi-phase interchange improvement project:
- I-240 is narrowed to two lanes at I-35; lanes are narrow with no shoulders
- Crossroads Blvd. is narrowed to one lane in each direction through 2025
- S.E. 74th St./I-240 Service Rd. is closed to through traffic between Eastern Ave. and Crossroads Blvd. through spring 2026
- East and westbound I-240 frontage roads will be intermittently narrowed
The new northbound I-35 off-ramp to eastbound I-240 is open and the entrance is farther south than the previous off-ramp. Drivers can use I-40 as an alternate route.
May Ave., N.W. Expressway traffic detoured through 2026
The following ramps are closed through 2026 for a City of Oklahoma City bridge reconstruction project.
- Northbound and southbound May Ave. lanes are shifted onto temporary lanes and drivers should be aware of newly installed traffic signals to cross east and westbound NW Expwy
- Eastbound and westbound N.W. Expressway is narrowed in both directions at May Ave. There are temporary traffic signals in place.
SH-74/Lake Hefner Pkwy ramp narrowed at SH-3/N.W. Expwy through summer 2026
The northbound SH-74/Lake Hefner Pkwy off-ramp to SH-3/N.W. Expwy is narrowed and east and westbound SH-3/N.W. Expwy is narrowed between SH-74/Lake Hefner Pkwy and N. Independence Ave. as part of an intersection improvement project.
I-40 narrows at US-281 Spur in Canadian Co. through fall 2026
Eastbound and westbound I-40 is narrowed to one lane in both directions near US-281 Spur just west of El Reno through fall 2026 for a bridge project. Drivers should consider alternate routes.
US-81 narrows near El Reno daily through August
North and southbound US-81 will have various, intermittent lane closures between S.W. 29th St. and Jensen Rd. near El Reno from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily through August for resurfacing.
SH-4 narrowed to one lane near SH-3 through spring 2026
North and southbound SH-4/Piedmont Rd. is narrowed between NW 122nd and SH-3 through spring 2026 for resurfacing.
SH-37/S.E. 4th St. closed at Broadway Ave. in Moore through summer 2026
East and westbound SH-37/S.E. 4th St. is closed between Broadway Ave. and Tower Dr. in Moore through summer 2026 as part of a railroad bridge project.
N.W. 23rd St. narrows to one lane at Broadway Ave. through summer 2026
East and westbound N.W. 23rd St. will be intermittently narrowed between Broadway Ave. and Western Ave. through summer for a streetscape project in partnership with the City of Oklahoma City.
Danforth Rd., Kelly Ave. narrowed in Edmond through summer 2026
East and westbound Danforth Rd. and north and southbound Kelly Ave. are narrowed to one lane in each direction at the intersection in Edmond through Spring for intersection expansion in partnership with the City of Edmond.
