Starting the week of Jan. 12, crews will be conducting some additional exploratory work on and around the US-70 Roosevelt Bridge over Lake Texoma. This work is not the start of construction but is an effort to collect more information to assist engineers in the project's development. Drivers and lake visitors may see crews on the banks of the lake and around the bridge along with large barges with drilling equipment in the water. Crews will be in the area through February.
US-70 will remain open and no major delays or closures are expected at this time. Boaters should watch for barges and maintain a safe distance.
