All projects are weather permitting:
I-240 narrows at Western Ave. Saturday, Sunday
Eastbound I-240 will be intermittently narrowed between Western Ave. and Santa Fe Ave. from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. daily through Sunday for surface work.
Ongoing Highway Construction Projects
I-40 narrows at Douglas Blvd. in Midwest City through 2025
East and westbound I-40 will be narrowed to two lanes in each direction between I-240 and Town Center Dr. in Midwest City with lane shifts and intermittent ramp closures through 2025. Drivers should use caution as there are no shoulders or merge distances, or use I-240 and US-62/N. 23rd St. as a detour.
- Anderson Rd. is now open.
- I-40 on and off-ramps at Anderson Rd. are now open.
- Southbound Douglas Blvd. to eastbound I-40 is closed.
- Eastbound I-40 traffic exiting Douglas Blvd. cannot turn north onto Douglas Blvd.
- Westbound I-40 traffic exiting Douglas Blvd. cannot turn south onto Douglas Blvd.
- Accessing the Hruskocy Gate from Douglas Blvd. is discouraged. Drivers wanting to access the gate should use the new protected turnaround.
I-40 narrows at I-44 through fall 2025
East and westbound I-40 will be narrowed between Meridian Ave. and May Ave., over I-44, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. nightly through fall. Drivers can expect various lane and intermittent ramp closures on the bridge and pavement rehabilitation project through fall.
I-240 narrows at I-35 through 2025
The following closures are scheduled for east and westbound I-240, S.E. 59th St., Pole Rd. and I-240/I-35 service roads as part of a multi-phase interchange improvement project:
- I-240 is narrowed to two lanes at I-35; lanes are narrow with no shoulders
- Crossroads Blvd. is narrowed to one lane in each direction through 2025
- S.E. 74th St./I-240 Service Rd. is closed to through traffic between Eastern Ave. and Crossroads Blvd. through spring 2026
- East and westbound I-240 frontage roads will be intermittently narrowed
The new northbound I-35 off-ramp to eastbound I-240 is open and the entrance is farther south than the previous off-ramp. Drivers can use I-40 as an alternate route.
I-44 narrows, ramp closes at SH-152/Airport Rd. through fall
East and westbound SH-152 is narrowed and east and westbound I-44 (runs north and south) between S.W. 44th St. and I-240 through fall. The eastbound I-44 (runs north) on-ramp from 74th St. will be closed as part of a corridor widening project.
I-44 ramps close at N.W. 10th St. through summer 2026 for City project
The east and westbound I-44 off-ramps (run north and south) to N.W.10th St. are closed through summer 2026 for a City of Oklahoma City bridge project.
I-35 lanes narrow between Memorial Rd., US-77/2nd St. in Edmond through 2025
North and southbound I-35 and ramps between Memorial Rd. and US-77/2nd St. in Edmond will be intermittently narrowed through summer 2025 as part of a resurfacing and bridge project.
SH-4 between Wilshire Blvd. and SH-3/NW Expressway through 2025
North and southbound SH-4/Piedmont Rd. traffic has been switched onto the new alignment between NW 122nd and SH-3. Work continues on the new alignment, and drivers should be aware of changing conditions. West Hefner Rd. is closed for installation of new drainage and drivers should use an alternate route.
- Southbound SH-4/Piedmont Rd. is narrowed to one lane between N.W. 178th St. and N.W. 164th St. in Piedmont
SH-9E narrows near US-77 in Norman through fall 2025
- East and westbound SH-9E will be intermittently narrowed to one lane in each direction just west of US-77, over Bishop Creek in Norman, through fall 2025 for bridge replacement. Crews will work to limit closures for home football games and major travel events; however, drivers should plan ahead and prepare for additional travel time.
US-77 narrows in Norman nightly through November
North and southbound US-77 will have various, intermittent lane closures between Classen Blvd. and Main St. in Norman nightly through mid-November for resurfacing.
SH-66, US-81 narrows to one lane in El Reno through 2025
The following closures will be in place at the SH-66/US-81 intersection in El Reno through 2025 for roundabout construction:
- The northbound US-81 on-ramp to eastbound I-40 is closed.
- Drivers should be aware there will be work taking place inside the roundabout and in the surrounding area through fall 2025
- Northbound and southbound US-81 will be narrowed to one lane in each direction at SH-66
SH-37/S.E. 4th St. closed at Broadway Ave. in Moore through summer 2026
East and westbound SH-37/S.E. 4th St. is closed between Broadway Ave. and Tower Dr. in Moore through summer 2026 as part of a railroad bridge project.
US-77 narrows in Norman nightly through November
North and southbound US-77 will have various, intermittent lane closures between Classen Blvd. and Main St. in Norman from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. nightly through early November for resurfacing.
Danforth Rd., Kelly Ave. narrowed in Edmond through Spring 2026
East and westbound Danforth Rd. and north and southbound Kelly Ave. are narrowed to one lane in each direction at the intersection in Edmond through Spring for intersection expansion in partnership with the City of Edmond.
Garth Brooks Blvd. narrowed to one lane at I-40 in Yukon through summer 2026
North and southbound Garth Brooks Blvd. is narrowed to one lane in each direction between Andrew Dr. and Health Center Parkway, under I-40, through summer 2026 for resurfacing. East and westbound I-40 on and off-ramps may be affected during this time.
SH-152 closed at Banner Rd., near Union City through 2025
All lanes of eastbound and westbound SH-152 are closed between Banner Rd. and Cemetery Rd. through 2025 for reconstruction. Drivers can use US-81 to I-40 to SH-4 or US-81 to SH-37 to SH-4 as a detour.
US-270 narrowed to one lane near Calumet through 2025
East and westbound US-270 is narrowed to one lane between Red Rock Rd. and Taft Ave. and also between Maberry Rd. and Cedar Rd. near Calumet through 2025 for surface work. Temporary traffic signals are in place.
