Description

The Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT) will host an in-person outreach event for the US-259 improvement project that would begin 6.25 miles north of SH-3 and extend north 6 miles, in McCurtain County, Oklahoma.  The project intent is to increase the safety and operation along US-259. The state highway system in and around the Broken Bow/Hochatown area is not functioning in a way that serves the current needs, and especially, the future needs of an ever-changing region. ODOT has every intention to plan, develop, build, and maintain the existing highway to better accommodate those needs while remaining sensitive to the goals of the local community.
