Grants for Bus and Bus Facilities Program - Section 5339
The Grants for Bus and Bus Facilities Program, 49 USC § 5339, provides federal funding through formula allocation (Section 5339 (a)) and competitive grants (Section 5339 (b)). As the designated recipient, the Oklahoma Department of Transportation’s Office of Mobility & Public Transit has oversight of Section 5339 funding, which can be used to replace, rehabilitate and/or purchase vehicles, including vehicle related equipment, and/or to construct bus related facilities.
