A more than $26 million project begins on SH-97 near US-412 in Sand Springs Monday. The project will reconstruct the pavement, as well as add new traffic signals and sidewalks from S. Main St. to W. 2nd St. Two lanes of traffic will be maintained in both directions during peak hours. Work is expected to be completed in spring 2025.
The Oklahoma Transportation Commission awarded the project to Sherwood Construction Inc. in May 2023.
