SH-66 narrows in Edmond, Arcadia Jan. 30 for resurfacing, widening

This project is weather permitting:

SH-66 will be intermittently narrowed to one lane between Post Rd. in Edmond and Luther Rd. in Luther through 2025 for resurfacing and widening. The project is scheduled to start Monday, Jan. 30, and includes:

  • Resurfacing and widening SH-66 from two lanes to four lanes and adding improved shoulders between Post Rd. and Westminster Rd. 
  • Resurfacing and adding improved shoulders to SH-66 between Anderson Rd. and Luther Rd. 
  • Improving intersections at Hiwassee Rd. and Indian Meridian Rd.

Motorists should expect SH-66 to be narrowed to one lane in each direction between Post Rd. and Westminster Rd. and will be intermittently narrowed to one lane between Anderson Rd. and Luther Rd. with a traffic signal and speed reductions.

The more than $30 million project was awarded to T.J. Campbell Construction in December 2022, and is expected to be completed in the summer 2025, weather permitting.

Drivers should locate an alternate route or expect delays and use caution in the area.
