Eastbound and westbound I-40 will be narrowed to one lane at Airport Rd. (mm 84) in Weatherford beginning at 9 a.m. Wednesday through March for a bridge replacement. The project, expected to continue through spring 2024, will replace the SH-66/Airport Rd. bridge over I-40. Drivers should expect intermittent lane closures on Airport Rd. throughout the project.
Motorists are asked to use caution in the area and expect delays.
The Oklahoma Transportation Commission awarded the $18 million contract for the project to Frontier Bridge Inc. in August 2022.
