I-40 narrows, ramp closes at I-240 Friday

The following closures are scheduled between 7 p.m. Friday and 5:30 a.m. Monday for partial bridge removal as part of a widening project in the area:

• Westbound I-40 ramp to westbound I-240 will be closed.               
• Westbound I-40 narrows to two lanes between Choctaw Rd. and I-240 off ramp.
• Westbound I-40 narrows to one lane just west of I-240 off ramp.
• Eastbound I-40 narrows between I-240 bridge and eastbound I-240 on-ramp.

Drivers looking to travel westbound on I-240 can use I-40 to I-35 as a detour or locate an alternate route. Drivers should use extra caution in the area and expect delays.
