I-40 closes under Airport Rd. in Weatherford Wednesday night, nightly through Saturday

All lanes of east and westbound I-40 will be closed under Airport Rd. from 7 p.m. Wednesday to 6 a.m. Thursday and continuing nightly through Saturday morning as part of a bridge replacement project.

• Traffic will be diverted off I-40 at Airport Rd. and drivers will be able to use the Airport Rd. on-ramp to continue on I-40.
• All lanes of north and southbound Airport Rd. will be closed over I-40 during this work.

Additionally, I-40 will be narrowed to one lane near Airport Rd. through October.

Drivers are urged to use extra caution in the area and expect significant delays.
