SH-99 narrows at the Arkansas River near Cleveland beginning March 7

Wednesday, March 02, 2022

Work begins Monday, March 7, on a project to reconstruct the SH-99 bridge over the Arkansas River just north of Cleveland in Pawnee County. SH-99 will be narrowed to one lane with a temporary signal directing traffic throughout the project. Work is estimated to complete in fall 2023.

Motorists can expect delays in the area and should be prepared to stop in the work zone or should locate an alternate route.

The nearly $16 million contract for this project was awarded by the Oklahoma Transportation Commission in October 2021 to Becco Contractors, Inc., of Tulsa.
