I-35 narrows between SH-11 at Blackwell and US-60 in Tonkawa for resurfacing starting Monday

This project is weather permitting:

Northbound and southbound I-35 will be intermittently narrowed to one lane between just north of SH-11 (mm 223) near Blackwell and just south of US-60 (mm 213) near Tonkawa starting at 7:30 a.m. Monday and continuing through summer 2022 for a resurfacing project. 

Motorists can expect uneven driving surfaces during construction as new layers of pavement are added. Drivers also should plan for extra travel time through the work zone. 

The nearly $7 million project was awarded by the Oklahoma Transportation Commission to Haskell Lemon Construction of Oklahoma City.
