The Oklahoma Department of Transportation is offering a virtual open house to present information on a future project to make safety improvement to US-60/Broadway Ave. between US-81 and Erie St. in Pond Creek in Grant Co. The proposed project is designed to update pavement, drainage issues, a railroad crossing, striping and sidewalks. Comments are due by April 25.
ODOT is developing design plans for improving this segment of US-60/Broadway Ave. while considering construction costs as well as environmental constraints. The public is asked to provide feedback on modifying the US-60/US-81 intersection to improve drainage, turning movements and traffic flow. Other aspects of the project include restriping to clearly define the driving lanes, driveways, pedestrian and parking areas. Sidewalks are proposed to be upgraded to meet Americans with Disability Act standards.
Construction is tentatively scheduled in 2027.
