Public invited to attend a meeting on future US-259 project in Broken Bow/Hochatown

Tuesday, October 25, 2022

The Oklahoma Department of Transportation is hosting a community outreach meeting to present information on a future project to improve US-259 from six miles north of SH-3 north six miles. The public is being asked to submit comments prior to the detailed design phase for the project.

The highway in and around the Broken Bow/Hochatown area is not functioning in a way that serves the current or future needs of the ever-changing region. The department has every intention to plan, develop, build and maintain the existing highway to better accommodate those needs while remaining sensitive to the goals of the local community. The purpose of this US-259 project is to increase the safety and operation along the highway.
