Public input needed on proposed I-35 and SH-9 West interchange improvements in McClain County

The Oklahoma Department of Transportation is hosting a public meeting Thursday, Nov. 18, and providing information online to solicit public input on a proposed project to improve the I-35 and SH-9 West interchange near Goldsby in McClain County.

Operational improvements are needed at the interchange to better accommodate increasing traffic volumes and address localized congestion. At the meeting, members of the public will have the opportunity to review and provide feedback on four design alternatives being considered for interchange.

All printed materials and a recording of Thursday’s public meeting will be available on ODOT’s website following the event, along with a form to submit feedback online. All public comments are due Dec. 9.

Right-of-way acquisition and utility relocation for the interchange are currently scheduled to begin in Federal Fiscal Year 2022 and construction is scheduled to go to bid in FFY 2023.
