Public input sought for US-281 improvements in Caddo County

Wednesday, November 09, 2016

The Oklahoma Department of Transportation is hosting a public meeting to present information and gather input on a proposed project to improve the function and safety of US-281 over the Washita River in Anadarko.

The existing bridges over the Washita River and two overflows are narrow and considered “at-risk,” of becoming structurally deficient. The proposed project includes realignment of the roadway and replacement of the bridge over the Washita River.

A public meeting is scheduled to present the alternatives being considered for the bridge replacement and realignment of US-281. The public is asked to attend to learn about the project and give input to aid in selecting a preferred alternative.
