Training

Funds are available for up to five (5) DBE firms that have individual business developmental needs in the areas of accounting methods, project management, managerial assistance, personnel skills and so forth. The maximum amount is up to $1,000 per firm, per federal fiscal year. The selected training class must help the attendee(s) achieve a level of proficiency to compete on projects with the ODOT. The training must be requested two (2) months in advance of the training date. Once approved, the funds are issued on a first-come, first served basis.


Company Website Development

Funds are available for up to four (4) DBE firms that would like to increase marketing through technology such as developing a website or other social media forums. The maximum amount is up to $450 per firm, per federal fiscal year. The service must be requested two (2) months in advance. Once approved, the funds are issued on a first-come, first-servedbasis.


Financial Audit

The ODOT may require a financial audit from DBE firms to comply with ODOT's policy for professional services contract consideration. Funds are available for DBE firms that provide contracted professional services to ODOT. The maximum amount is up to $5,000 per firm, per federal fiscal year.

To request funds, the DBE firm should select a certified public accounting firm that is familiar with audits and request a letter of intent. After selecting a firm, submit a request to the Supportive Service program along with the letter of intent on the audit firm's letterhead. Include the audit objective, audit procedures or work to be performed, cost and other relevant information to the DBE Supportive Services Coordinator.
