Steve J. LaForge

Oklahoma Transportation Commissioner, District 7

Caddo, Carter, Comanche, Cotton, Grady, Jefferson, Love, Murray and Stephens counties

Steve J. LaForge was appointed to the Oklahoma Transportation Commission by Gov. Stitt in April 2019, representing District 7, comprised of nine counties in southwestern Oklahoma.

He is currently the president and owner of LaForge Properties LLC, Ace Investments and other real estate owning entities. LaForge previously served on the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority for eight years as the Secretary/Treasurer.

He is a member of the Chickasha Chamber of Commerce and National Society of Professional Engineers and is a board member on both the Chickasha Industrial Authority and Chickasha Economic Development Council.

LaForge graduated from the University of Kansas with degrees in Business Administration and Civil Engineering. LaForge and his family currently reside in Chickasha.
