Oklahoma Transportation Commissioner, District 1

Adair, Cherokee, Haskell, Okmulgee, McIntosh, Muskogee, Sequoyah, and Wagoner counties

In April 2019, the Senate President Pro Tempore appointed Bob Coburn as the District 1 Transportation Commissioner. Coburn represents eight counties in eastern Oklahoma.

Coburn recently was the mayor of Muskogee and currently owns A-Avanti Self Storage and Legacy Self Storage. He served as Chairman of the Investment Committee of the Muskogee Foundation, Muskogee Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, Tourism Committee and Vision Committee. He is past president of Muskogee Rotary Club and served on the board of the Muskogee Port Authority.

He attended Muskogee Public Schools, Northeastern State University and received his Associate Degree in Business Administration from Connors State College. He and wife, Gwen, have two children and six grandchildren.
