Purpose

The purpose of the public hearing is to present the findings of the Environmental Assessment (EA) for the US-75 at Preston Road project and to provide an opportunity for the public to comment on the proposed improvements and EA findings. 

The EA Document describes the project’s purpose and need, the range of alternatives considered including the Preferred Alternative, the social, economic and environmental effect of the alternatives, the Agency coordination and Public Involvement activities conducted as part of the Assessment. Copies of the EA are available for public inspection HERE and at the following locations from Monday, October 25, 2021 to Wednesday, November 24, 2021.

Description

The Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT), in cooperation with the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) is proposing to improve the US-75 at Preston Road intersection located seven miles north of the US-62 Junction in Okmulgee County, Oklahoma. The proposed project consists of the construction of a grade separated intersection at Preston Road/Will Sampson Road over US-75, adding on/off ramps and rerouting County Road N 220 (Pierce Avenue) along the east side of US-75 to connect Preston Road to the south, east of the Preston Road/US-75 intersection in Preston, Oklahoma. A public meeting was conducted in January 2020.
