The road to Route 66’s centennial starts here! Registration is now open for the 2nd Annual Mother Road Summit, hosted by the U.S. Route 66 Centennial Commission, happening April 23–24 at the Oklahoma History Center. Building on the momentum of last year’s inaugural summit in New Mexico, this high-energy gathering will bring together national, state and community leaders to shape the future of America’s most legendary highway.

Over two dynamic days, attendees will connect with industry professionals, experience iconic Route 66 attractions and take part in forward-looking conversations on tourism, preservation and innovation along the Mother Road.

Summit Highlights

  • Route 66 Midpoint Art Unveiling and Wellston Bridge Ribbon Cutting (April 23, optional)
  • Multi-state panel with leaders from across the iconic Route 66 corridor
  • Opening reception at the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum
  • Engaging sessions on tourism growth and modernizing Route 66
  • Inspiring keynote speaker and closing discussions
  • Closing reception at “The Filling Station” in El Reno, OK

The Mother Road Summit unites leaders, tourism officials, historians and communities across the Route 66 corridor to collaborate ahead of the highway’s centennial celebration. It is more than a conference, it’s a movement to preserve the legacy of Route 66 while driving new opportunities for economic growth and community development.

The Mother Road Summit continues to grow as a must-attend event for anyone passionate about Route 66 by offering a powerful platform for ideas, partnerships and celebration of one of America’s most iconic roads.

Registration is now open. Be part of the journey and help shape the next chapter of Route 66.
