July Transportation Commission meeting scheduled for Monday, July 6

The Oklahoma Transportation Commission’s monthly meeting is scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday, July 6 in the R.A. Ward Transportation Building, 200 N.E. 21st St., Oklahoma City. Members of the public and media are invited to attend or watch the livestream.

Items to be addressed at the meeting:

  • Transportation Secretary and Oklahoma Department of Transportation Executive Director Tim Gatz will update commissioners on the installation of commemorative road signs in observance of America’s 250th birthday.
     
  • Commissioners will consider approval of the new edition of the County Improvements for Roads & Bridges 5 Year Construction Work Plan.
  • The commission will vote on whether to award several contracts, among them a widening and reconstruction project on SH-9 in eastern Norman and a US-69 reconstruction project through Muskogee.

The commission, a nine-member panel appointed by the governor and legislative leaders to oversee the state’s transportation development, awards project contracts for road and bridge construction on a monthly basis.
