October Transportation Commission meeting scheduled for Monday, Oct. 6
The Oklahoma Transportation Commission’s monthly meeting is scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 6 in the R.A. Ward Transportation Building, 200 N.E. 21st St., Oklahoma City. Members of the public and media are invited to attend or watch the livestream.
Items to be addressed at the meeting:
- Commissioners will consider and vote on the newest edition of the Eight-Year Construction Work Plan for Fiscal Years 2026-2033. The plan contains nearly $8 billion in highway improvements statewide, although inflation has moved some projects out of the eight-year window.
- The $500 million Asset Preservation Plan addressing maintenance of the interstate and highway system will also be presented.
- Oklahoma Department of Transportation Executive Director Tim Gatz will brief commissioners on the federal funding bill status and its effect on the department.

The commission, a nine-member panel appointed by the governor and legislative leaders to oversee the state’s transportation development, awards project contracts for road and bridge construction on a monthly basis.
