June Transportation Commission meeting scheduled for Monday, June 2

The Oklahoma Transportation Commission’s mon­thly meeting is scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday, June 2, in the R.A. Ward Transportation Building, 200 N.E. 21st St., Oklahoma City. Members of the public and media are invited to attend or watch the livestream video online.

Items to be addressed at the meeting:

  • Oklahoma Department of Transportation Executive Director Tim Gatz and commissioners will welcome newly appointed District 7 Commissioner Paul Scott.

  • Commissioners will consider awarding repairs to the US-70 Roosevelt Bridge causeway at Lake Texoma and receive an update on the status of the area following recent storms.

  • Officials will present the agency’s 2024 Safety Awards recognizing the ODOT districts and crews with the best worker safety records in the past year.

  • Oklahoma Transportation Commissioners will be presented with and vote on whether to approve the department’s Fiscal Year 2025 Budget Work Program.

The commission, a nine-member panel appointed by the governor and legislative leaders to oversee the state’s transportation development, awards project contracts for road and bridge construction on a monthly basis.
