The Oklahoma Transportation Commission’s monthly meeting is scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday, April 7, in the R.A. Ward Transportation Building, 200 N.E. 21st St., Oklahoma City. Members of the public and media are invited to attend or watch the livestream video online.
Items to be addressed at the meeting:
· Oklahoma Department of Transportation Executive Director Tim Gatz will present commissioners with Gov. Stitt’s proclamation declaring April 21-25 as Oklahoma’s “Work Zone Awareness Week” and discuss partnership events planned statewide.
· Gatz will update the commission on the state of Oklahoma bridges in response to the NTSB recommendations following the Francis Scott Key Bridge hit in Maryland last year.
· Commissioners will be briefed on the next phase of improvements to the I-44/US-75 interchange in Tulsa, which will address what is referred to locally as “Traffic Henge” and the status of the I-40 Douglas interchange in Midwest City.
