Public invited to open house meeting on future SH-29 project in Stephens County

The Oklahoma Department of Transportation is hosting an open house meeting on July 11 in Bray about an upcoming project to improve SH-29 in Stephens County about 12 miles east of US-81 extending 12 miles to the Garvin County line.

The meeting does not include a formal presentation, but members of the public can come anytime during this open house to view the proposed design. Engineers and designers with ODOT will be available during this time to discuss the project and answer questions.

The project will include realignment, replacement of bridges and safety improvements to the intersection of SH-76 and SH-29. The Department would appreciate public comments relative to social, economic or environmental effects of this proposal.

The proposed improvements on this highway segment will be divided into two separate construction projects, which are tentatively scheduled to go to bid in FFY 2021.
