Jamie Malmstrom was named Division One Construction Engineer for the Oklahoma Department of Transportation in January 2017.
Prior to joining ODOT, Malmstrom worked as an engineer for Nebraska Department of Roads. He began his career at ODOT as the Division Eight Claremore Residency Project Manager in 2012. In 2014, he moved to Division One and served as Field Bridge and Local Programs Engineer until his recent promotion.
As Construction Engineer, his responsibilities include overseeing all aspects of the division’s highway and bridge projects from construction to completion. The Division One area he maintains includes seven counties: Wagoner, Cherokee, Adair, Okmulgee, McIntosh, Haskell and Sequoyah in eastern Oklahoma.
Malmstrom was born in Scotia, Nebraska and holds a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Nebraska.
He and his wife, Kate, currently reside in Broken Arrow.
