Keith Sorsdal was appointed Director of Human Resources for the Oklahoma Department of Transportation in May 2023, after serving as the agency’s Employee Health & Safety Manager. He brings over 30 years of leadership experience across military service, public safety, and organizational development.

Before joining ODOT, Keith directed safety and risk management programs and oversaw the maintenance and operations of public utility infrastructure in California. He served 26 years in the U.S. Navy as a rescue swimmer and later as a U.S. Air Force officer, completing four tours in support of operations in Afghanistan and Iraq.

He holds a master’s degree in Aeronautical Science and multiple certifications in human resources, leadership, and human behavior analysis.

Keith and his wife, Tina, live on their small farm in Shawnee, OK, with their two sons.
