Jason Giebler, PE, SE
Jason Giebler was announced as the Bridge Division Engineer in June, where
he oversees project design for replacements, repairs, maintenance and
inspection of bridge structures across the state as well as monitoring bridge
projects during construction.
Giebler began his career with ODOT in 2002 as an engineering summer intern
and went on to join the University of Oklahoma’s Bridge Design Squad later
that year. He became an engineer-in-training in 2006 and started in the Bridge
Division in 2007, where he served in many roles including Bridge Designer and
Bridge Construction and Design Assistance. Prior to stepping into his new role,
Giebler has been the Assistant Bridge Engineer over Design and Construction
since 2021.
Giebler earned his master’s and bachelor’s degrees in civil engineering from
OU. He holds Professional Engineering and Structural Engineering licenses, is a
member of ODOT’s Engineering Development Council and an active member of the AASHTO Committee on Bridges and Structures.
Born in Hays, Kan., and raised in Weatherford, Okla., Giebler and his wife now reside in Norman with their two daughters.
