Awards

The OCSW celebrates individuals who are contributing to the success of women, girls, and families in significant ways. Honoring individuals with Guardian Awards, Kate Barnard Awards, and inducting select women into the Oklahoma Women's Hall of Fame allows recipients' contributions to be highlighted on an annual basis.

Guardian Award

Created in 2010, the Guardian Award recognizes Oklahoma legislative, executive, and judicial officials who have made significant contributions to guarding, protecting, and preserving the rights of women and families. Pictured from left to right are 2022 recipients, Senator Darrell Weaver and Representative Daniel Pae.

Kate Barnard

In 1998, the Oklahoma Commission on the Status of Women created the Kate Barnard Award to continue recognition and appreciation of the women that have made a difference in Oklahoma by becoming public servants. These women are elected or appointed salaried public officials in Oklahoma. Pictured from left to right are 2022 recipients, Judge Cindy Truong, and Secretary of Agriculture, Blyane Arthur

OWHOF

The purpose of the Oklahoma Women’s Hall of Fame is to provide the state's highest honor to Oklahoma women who reside in Oklahoma or were former residents of the state, and who provide outstanding service benefiting the lives of women and families in Oklahoma, the nation, or elsewhere in the world. Pictured from left to right are Commissioners Janie Dillard, Dr. Nyla Khan, Ollie Starr, Jana Gridley, and Marci Bond.
