The Oklahoma Commission on Children and Youth is seeking a Case Manager to support the work of the Child Death Review Board (CDRB), a multidisciplinary board dedicated to reviewing child deaths and near deaths in Oklahoma to identify preventable factors and improve child safety systems statewide.

This full-time position plays a critical role in gathering, organizing, and analyzing records related to child death investigations and services provided to children prior to death. The Case Manager prepares comprehensive case summaries to assist Board members in conducting informed and objective reviews.

About the Child Death Review Board

The Child Death Review Board reviews information from agencies involved in child death investigations, including law enforcement, medical providers, child welfare, and mental health systems. The Board evaluates whether maltreatment contributed to a child’s death and whether the death may have been preventable. Findings from the review process help guide statewide policy recommendations, prevention strategies, and system improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Request and obtain records from law enforcement agencies, medical providers, mental health facilities, and other entities
  • Review, sort, organize, and maintain confidential case records in secure digital systems
  • Prepare detailed case narratives and summaries for Board review
  • Manage case information across multiple databases
  • Provide onboarding assistance and ongoing support to Board members
  • Record and prepare official meeting minutes and related documentation
  • Complete post-meeting follow-up materials and administrative tasks
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Public Health, or a related human services field
  • Three years of professional experience in public administration, program coordination, or related work
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered
