Bloom Your Breastfeeding Knowledge – Breastfeeding Educator Course

This basic training course should be attended by new WIC CPAs, Designated Breastfeeding Experts, and Breastfeeding Peer Counselors within the first year of employment, and a refresher course is required or recommended every three years, depending on staff role. Due to limited registration space for the Breastfeeding Educator Course, staff whose roles involve working actively with WIC breastfeeding dyads and are required to take the training will be prioritized.

The location for this course will be the Embassy Suites, Northwest Expressway, Oklahoma City, which is the designated hotel for the Breastfeeding Educator Course. The training will begin at 10:00 AM on the first day and conclude at 4:00 PM on the second day. The training is approved by the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners (IBLCE) for 13 L-CERPs for International Board Certified Lactation Consultants (IBCLCs). Full attendance is required to obtain credit, as partial credit will not be provided by IBLCE.
