I-44/H.E. Bailey Turnpike narrows between Walters and Geronimo for pavement reconstruction
I-44/H.E. Bailey Turnpike between US-277/SH-5 near Walters and SH-36 near Geronimo (mm 20-30) will remain narrowed; traffic will be shifted onto the shoulders in both directions for a pavement reconstruction project. Construction is expected to continue through early 2028.
I-44/H.E. Bailey Turnpike narrows near Cookietown Tuesday
Westbound I-44/H.E. Bailey Turnpike will be narrowed to one lane near Cookietown (mm 14 and 16) from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 29, for cable barrier repairs.
I-44/Turner Turnpike narrows near Chandler nightly
Eastbound and westbound I-44/Turner Turnpike will be narrowed to one lane between west of Wellston and Chandler (mm 161 and 168) from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. nightly Monday, Sept. 28, through Friday, Oct. 2, for pavement resurfacing and striping.
SH-375/Indian Nation Turnpike narrows north of Ulan Wednesday
Northbound SH-375/Indian Nation Turnpike will be narrowed to one lane from north of Ulan to south of Vernon (mm 84 and 86) from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 30, for shoulder patching.
SH-375/Indian Nation Turnpike narrows near Vernon Thursday
Northbound SH-375/Indian Nation Turnpike will be narrowed to one lane near Vernon (mm 86 and 88) from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 1, for shoulder patching.
SH-351/Muskogee Turnpike narrows for cable barrier repairs
Westbound SH-351/Muskogee Turnpike will be narrowed to one lane south of the SH-165 Interchange (mm 43) from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 29, for cable barrier repairs.
Speed reductions in place on I-44 frontage roads and Portland Ave. in Newcastle
As part of the construction of the future Toby Keith Expressway interchange with I-44 and SH-37 in Newcastle, the following speed reductions are in place:
- The northeast and southeast I-44 frontage roads will have reduced speed limits between N.E. 24th St. and N.E. 34th St. through late 2027.
- Portland Ave. will have a reduced speed limit between N.E. 24th St. and N.E. 34th St. through fall 2026.
I-344/John Kilpatrick Turnpike narrows at Council Rd. through summer 2026
The following lane closures will impact traffic on the I-344/John Kilpatrick Turnpike at Council Rd.:
- Eastbound John Kilpatrick Turnpike will have narrowed lane widths, and the lanes will slightly shift at Council Rd. through summer 2026.
- Eastbound Memorial Rd. will be narrowed to one lane between Council Rd. and Rockwell Ave. through summer 2026 for construction of the new lane and the new on-ramp to John Kilpatrick Turnpike.
- Eastbound Council Rd. at Memorial will have restricted turn lanes through August 2026:
- Motorists will not be able to turn left on westbound Memorial Rd. from southbound Council Rd.
- Motorists are now able to turn right onto Memorial Rd. from northbound Council Rd.
- Northbound and southbound Council Rd. lanes will be narrowed and shifted between just north of westbound Memorial Rd. and just south of eastbound Memorial Rd. through summer 2026 for the construction of protected turnaround lanes.
I-344/John Kilpatrick Turnpike intermittent lane shifts through spring 2027
I-344/John Kilpatrick Turnpike will be widened to six lanes between W. Wilshire Blvd. (mm 116) to half a mile north of N.W. 122nd St. (mm 120). Traffic will be shifted and have a narrowed lane width, but the turnpike will remain open to two lanes in each direction. Northwest and southeast SH-3/N.W. Expressway will be narrowed between County Line Rd. and Morgan Rd. through late spring 2027 for bridge work above the highway.
I-44/Turner Turnpike narrows between US-177 and SH-18 Chandler nightly
Eastbound I-44/Turner Turnpike will be narrowed to one lane between US-177 and SH-18 (mm 167) in Chandler from 8 p.m. Monday to 6 a.m. Tuesday and continuing nightly Monday-Friday through early October for pavement resurfacing.
I-44/Turner Turnpike bridge reconstruction at Arcadia Lake
I-44/Turner Turnpike bridge reconstruction at mm 136 between I-35 and Midwest Boulevard will replace the existing twin bridges with a single bridge built for the turnpike's future six lanes. Two lanes of traffic in each direction will be open during construction, but motorists can expect lane shifts throughout the project through spring 2027.
I-44/Turner Turnpike shoulder closed west of Wellston at mm 154 through summer 2026
Eastbound and westbound I-44/Turner Turnpike shoulders are closed on the bridge over County Rd. NS3310 about 1 mile west of SH-102 in Lincoln County as part of a bridge widening project. Motorists are advised to use caution in the area while construction is ongoing.
I-44/Turner Turnpike narrows between Depew, Bristow for paving project through summer 2026
An asphalt pavement project on I-44/Turner Turnpike between 9 miles east of Stroud at 465th West Ave. (mm 189) near Depew and just east of SH-48 (mm 197) near Bristow. Work on this project will be completed in 2-mile stretches, narrowing eastbound Turner Turnpike to two lanes from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly through summer 2026.
US-312/Cimarron Turnpike Spur narrowed for bridge rehab through fall 2026
This project rehabilitates the US-312/Cimarron Turnpike Spur bridge over US-177 (mm 19-20) near Stillwater. Motorists are reminded to stay alert in the work zone and to expect shifted lanes through fall 2026.
I-44/Will Rogers Turnpike narrows near Claremore through winter 2026
Eastbound and westbound I-44/Will Rogers Turnpike will be narrowed to one lane near Claremore (mm 255-260) from 7 p.m. Monday to 7 a.m. Tuesday and continuing nightly through Friday for a pavement resurfacing project. This work will extend between mm 32 near the Creek Turnpike to mm 260 on the Will Rogers through winter 2026.
I-44/Will Rogers Turnpike narrows from Catoosa to near Claremore
Eastbound and westbound I-44/Will Rogers Turnpike lanes will be narrowed nightly from Catoosa (mm 242) to 6 miles east of Claremore (mm 260) from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. nightly through the end of 2026 for pavement resurfacing and striping.
I-44/Will Rogers Turnpike lane narrows nightly near Miami
I-44/Will Rogers Turnpike will have nightly lane closures between SH-125 near Miami and 2 miles past SH-137 near Lincolnville (mm 312-320) as part of an ongoing pavement rehabilitation project between SH-125 and near Lincolnville (mm 312-320). All construction activities are being completed during night-time hours between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m., with work expected to be completed in late summer 2026.
SH-364/Creek Turnpike traffic shifts to new Haikey Creek bridge; 96th St. ramp remains closed
Eastbound and westbound SH-364/Creek Turnpike traffic is shifted onto the new Haikey Creek bridge and will be reduced to one lane between US-64 and E. 111th St. (mm 14-15) in Broken Arrow.
The eastbound SH-364/Creek Turnpike on-ramp from 96th St. is closed through fall 2026 to safely facilitate construction. Motorists should expect delays in the area through summer 2027.
SH-364/Creek Turnpike shoulder narrows near Broken Arrow
SH-351/Creek Turnpike westbound shoulder to close near Broken Arrow between Aspen Avenue and Elm Place (mm 18) for retaining wall repairs along the Liberty Trail. This project is estimated to be completed in mid-December 2026.
SH-351/Muskogee Turnpike narrows between SH-165 and I-40 for shoulder reconstruction
SH-351/Muskogee Turnpike traffic has been shifted to head-to-head traffic in the southbound lanes between SH-165 (mm 37) near Muskogee and I-40 (mm 56) near Webbers Falls while construction takes place in the northbound lanes; at the beginning of September, construction will shift to the southbound lanes and traffic will transfer to the northbound lanes. Closures will take place in 5-mile segments, and work is expected to be completed by fall 2026. This project is for shoulder reconstruction, which includes milling and overlaying the existing asphalt shoulder and reconstructing the guardrail.
SH-375/Indian Nation Turnpike is narrowed to one lane near SH-63 and Blanco
Northbound and southbound SH-375/Indian Nation Turnpike will be narrowed to one lane in each direction at SH-63 near Blanco (mm 55) for the construction of a new interchange. Additionally, SH-63 is narrowed to one lane. Temporary signals are being utilized in the work zone. This project is estimated to be completed in early 2027.
Ragan Rd. narrows at SH-375/Indian Nation Turnpike for interchange improvement through 2026
Northbound and southbound SH-375/Indian Nation Turnpike is narrowed to one lane in each direction near Indianola (mm 81-82) while new ramps are under construction. Additionally, Ragan Rd. is reduced to one lane in both directions. This nearly $5 million project reconstructs the existing half-diamond interchange to a full-diamond interchange. Work is expected to be completed in late 2026.
