Bridge rehabilitation projects underway on SH-375/Indian Nation Turnpike in Pushmataha County
Two bridge rehabilitation projects on SH-375/Indian Nation Turnpike in Pushmataha County are underway, with traffic reduced to one lane in each direction at two separate locations.
The projects involve a bridge over Tenmile Creek near mile marker 28, twelve miles north of SH-3 and a bridge over Dumpling Creek and E. 1950 County Road (New Hope Rd.) near mile marker 11, six miles south of SH-3. The two bridges are about 16.5 miles apart and will have separate work zones. Both bridge locations will remain narrowed to one lane in each direction throughout the projects as crews work on both bridges simultaneously.
Motorists should use caution, reduce speed and remain alert when traveling through both work zones. Weekend closures of E. 1950 County Road (New Hope Rd) are also anticipated to accommodate bridge demolition and beam installation on the turnpike above. Additional information about those closures will be provided as schedules are finalized.
The nearly $5.7 million project includes full superstructure replacements at both bridges, including the decks, beams, diaphragms, bearings, traffic rails and approach slabs, along with repairs to the piers, abutments, and resurfacing of the bridge approaches. The project is expected to be complete by fall 2027, weather permitting.
The awarded contractor for both bridge projects is Frontier Bridge Inc.
