Drivers are reminded to slow down, pay attention in work zones, allow extra travel time and always buckle their seat belts.
The projects below are weather permitting:
I-344/John Kilpatrick Turnpike intermittent lane shifts through spring 2027
I-344/John Kilpatrick Turnpike will be widened to six lanes between W. Wilshire Blvd. (mm 116) to half a mile north of N.W. 122nd St. (mm 120). Traffic will be shifted, and have a narrowed lane width, but the turnpike will remain open to two lanes in each direction. Northwest and southeast SH-3/N.W. Expressway will be narrowed between County Line Rd. and Morgan Rd. through late spring 2026 for bridge work above the highway.
I-344/John Kilpatrick Turnpike narrows at Council Rd. through summer 2026
The following lane closures will impact traffic on the I-344/John Kilpatrick Turnpike at Council Rd.:
- Eastbound John Kilpatrick Turnpike will have narrowed lane widths, and the lanes will slightly shift at Council Rd. through summer 2026.
- Eastbound Memorial Rd. will be narrowed to one lane between Council Rd. and Rockwell Ave. through summer 2026 for construction of the new lane and the new on-ramp to John Kilpatrick Turnpike.
- Northbound and southbound Council Rd. lanes will be narrowed and shifted between just north of westbound Memorial Rd. and just south of eastbound Memorial Rd. through summer 2026 for the construction of protected turnaround lanes.
I-44/H.E. Bailey Turnpike narrows between Randlett, Walters, and Geronimo through late summer for pavement rehabilitation
Westbound I-44/H.E. Bailey Turnpike (runs south) will be intermittently narrowed to one lane between US-277/SH-5 (mm 20) at Walters and E1870 Rd. through spring for pavement rehabilitation. Eastbound I-44/H.E. Bailey Turnpike (runs north) is intermittently narrowed to one lane between US-277/US-70 (mm 5) at Randlett to 3 miles north of the interchange at mm 8 through spring.
SH-364/Creek Turnpike narrows at US-64 in Broken Arrow over Haikey Creek; eastbound ramp from 96th St. closed
Westbound and eastbound SH-364/Creek Turnpike are narrowed to one lane in each direction between US-64 and E. 111th St. (mm 14-15) in Broken Arrow through summer 2027 as part of the Haikey Creek bridge rehabilitation project. The eastbound SH364/Creek Turnpike on-ramp from 96th St. is closed through fall 2026 to safely facilitate construction. Motorists should expect delays in the area through summer 2027.
I-44/Turner Turnpike shoulder closed west of Wellston at mm 154 through summer 2026
Eastbound and westbound I-44/Turner Turnpike shoulders are closed on the bridge over County Rd. NS3310 about 1 mile west of SH-102 in Lincoln County as part of a bridge widening project. Motorists are advised to use caution in the area while construction is ongoing.
I-44/Turner Turnpike bridge reconstruction at Arcadia Lake
I-44/Turner Turnpike bridge reconstruction at mm 136 between I-35 and Midwest Boulevard will replace the existing twin bridges with a single bridge built for the turnpike's future six lanes. Two lanes of traffic in each direction will be open during construction, but motorists can expect lane shifts throughout the project through spring 2027.
US-312/Cimarron Turnpike Spur narrowed for bridge rehab through fall 2026
This project rehabilitates the US-312/Cimarron Turnpike Spur bridge over US-177 (mm 19-20) near Stillwater. Motorists are reminded to stay alert in the work zone and to expect shifted lanes through fall 2026.
SH-351/Muskogee Turnpike narrows near Porter through summer 2026
Eastbound and westbound SH-351/Muskogee Turnpike is narrowed to one lane in each direction between SH-51 and E. 181st St. (mm 16-19) near Porter as part of a pavement reconstruction project. Ramps are expected to remain open during this time.
