Pavement rehabilitation begins on SH-375/Indian Nation Turnpike

Tuesday, March 03, 2026

A pavement rehabilitation project is underway on SH-375/Indian Nation Turnpike from mm 30 about 14 miles north of SH-3 at Antlers to mm 52, which is about 10 miles south of US-69 to McAlester. The project is expected to continue through winter 2026.

The following traffic impacts are in place or anticipated as work progresses:

  • Northbound SH-375/Indian Nation Turnpike is narrowed to one lane between mm 29 and mm 33 about 8 miles south of SH-43 at Daisy. Crews are working in 4-mile segments moving north. Lane closures are expected to shift about every two weeks, with the first anticipated shift around March 23, weather permitting. Motorists should expect multiple traffic control adjustments as the project progresses.
  • In the coming weeks, southbound SH-375/Indian Nation Turnpike also is expected to be narrowed to one lane in 4-mile segments beginning near mm 29 and progressing north. More details will be released as they become available.
  • Ramp closures at the SH-43 interchange near Daisy are anticipated later in the project, likely late summer 2026. Additional details will be provided as timelines are finalized.

The $12.7 million pavement rehabilitation project includes dowel bar retrofit and diamond grinding of the concrete pavement, as well as full-depth panel replacement where needed. The project was awarded by the OTA Board in November to Diamond Surface Inc.

Motorists are advised to expect lane closures in 4-mile segments, to watch for changing traffic patterns and to use caution in the work zone.
