SH-351/Muskogee Turnpike ramp closures at US-69 begin Thursday for pavement rehabilitation project

The SH-351/Muskogee Turnpike ramps at US-69 near Tullahassee will be intermittently closed starting Thursday, weather permitting, as part of an ongoing pavement rehabilitation project between Porter (mm 19) and just west of US-69.
 
Ramp construction will occur nightly on weekdays from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Work on each ramp may take up to two nights. 
 
  • US-69 to eastbound Muskogee Turnpike from 8 p.m. Thursday to 6 a.m. Friday and again from 8 p.m. Friday to 6 a.m. Saturday. Detour: Take US-69 to US-62 and enter the US62/SH-351 interchange
  • Westbound Muskogee Turnpike to US-69 from 8 p.m. Friday to 6 a.m. Saturday and again from 8 p.m. Monday to 6 a.m. Tuesday. Detour: Take exit at US-62 to US-69.
  • US-69 to westbound Muskogee Turnpike from 8 p.m. Tuesday to 6 a.m. Wednesday and from 8 p.m. Wednesday to 6 a.m. Thursday. Detour: Take US-69 to SH-51 and enter at the SH-51/Muskogee Turnpike interchange.
  • Eastbound Muskogee Turnpike to US-69 from 8 p.m. Thursday to 6 a.m. Friday, June 15, and from 8 p.m. Friday to 6 a.m. Saturday. Detour: Continue to the US-62 exit and take US-62 to US-69.

Detour routes will also be posted on portable message boards ahead of each closure.

The nearly $7 million pavement rehabilitation project, which includes dowel bar retrofitting, diamond grinding, and sealing joints, was awarded by the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority Board in January to Emery Sapp & Sons. Work is expected to be completed in late summer 2026.
