I-344/John Kilpatrick Turnpike nightly closures near Council Rd.
I-344/John Kilpatrick Turnpike will have overnight closures starting Monday due to bridge beam construction near Memorial Rd. and Council Rd.
Scheduled traffic impacts include: (weather permitting).
- Northbound Council Rd. will be narrowed south of the I-344/John Kilpatrick Turnpike from 8:00 p.m. Monday, July 27, to 6:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 28, and again from 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 28, to 6:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 29.
- Eastbound and westbound I-344/John Kilpatrick Turnpike will be narrowed to one lane near Council Rd. from 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 28, to 6:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 29, and again from 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 29, to 6:00 a.m. Thursday, July 30.
I-344/John Kilpatrick Turnpike narrows at Council Rd. through summer 2026
The following lane closures will impact traffic on the I-344/John Kilpatrick Turnpike at Council Rd.:
- Eastbound John Kilpatrick Turnpike will have narrowed lane widths, and the lanes will slightly shift at Council Rd. through summer 2026.
- Eastbound Memorial Rd. will be narrowed to one lane between Council Rd. and Rockwell Ave. through summer 2026 for construction of the new lane and the new on-ramp to John Kilpatrick Turnpike.
- Eastbound Council Rd. at Memorial will have restricted turn lanes through August 2026:
- Motorists will not be able to turn left on westbound Memorial Rd. from southbound Council Rd.
- Motorists are now able to turn right onto Memorial Rd. from northbound Council Rd.
- Northbound and southbound Council Rd. lanes will be narrowed and shifted between just north of westbound Memorial Rd. and just south of eastbound Memorial Rd. through summer 2026 for the construction of protected turnaround lanes.
SH-351/Muskogee Turnpike narrows Tuesday for Erosion Repair
SH-351/Muskogee Turnpike westbound outside lane will be closed South of the 289th East Avenue overpass (mm 9) on Tuesday, July 28th, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for erosion repair.
SH-375/Indian Nation narrows near I-40 on Wednesday
SH-375/Indian Nation Turnpike northbound inside lane will be closed one mile south of the I-40 interchange (mm 103-104) on Wednesday, July 29th, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for attenuator barrel replacement.
SH-364/Creek Turnpike multiple nightly lane closures and a ramp closure Monday and Tuesday
SH-364/Creek Turnpike will have multiple nightly lane closures and one ramp closure on Monday, July 27th, from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. for gantry and cantilever removal. If additional work is needed, the same closures may continue on Tuesday, July 28th, from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.
- Creek Turnpike eastbound and westbound will be narrowed at SH-75 (mm 5) on Monday, July 27th, from 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. for gantry and cantilever removal.
- Creek Turnpike westbound will be narrowed near Jenks (mm 7) on Monday, July 27th, from 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. for gantry and cantilever removal.
- Creek Turnpike westbound on-ramp at Peoria/Elm (mm 7) will be closed on Tuesday, July 28th, from 12 a.m. to 6 a.m. for gantry and cantilever removal.
US-412/Cherokee narrows between Locust Grove and Rose/Leach through Thursday
US-412/Cherokee Turnpike will be narrowed eastbound between Locust Grove and Rose/Leach interchange (mm 8) beginning Monday, July 27th, through Thursday, July 30th, at 3:00 p.m. for concrete removal and replacement due to a buckled pavement.
