I-44/Will Rogers Turnpike narrows near Claremore Sunday night for bridge repairs

Westbound I-44/Will Rogers Turnpike will be narrowed to one lane between SH-266 near Claremore and the Verdigris River just east of the Catoosa exit in Rogers County from 7 p.m. Sunday to 6 a.m. Monday for bridge repairs to County Rd. E 540 and County Rd. E 550 over the turnpike.

These closures will continue nightly through Dec. 17. These two county road bridges were damaged Nov. 22 by an illegally over-height vehicle. A total of five bridge beams will be either repaired or sections replaced as part of the emergency repairs.

Once repairs are complete, both county road bridges will be opened back up to traffic.
