OTA, for 32nd consecutive year, recognized for Excellence in Financial Reporting

The Oklahoma Turnpike Authority is proud to be the recipient of the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for its 2021 annual comprehensive financial report for the fiscal year ended Dec. 31, 2021. OTA has attained this significant accomplishment for 32 consecutive years.

On March 21, 2023, the Government Finance Officers Association announced this award, which is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting.

“This prestigious award is well deserved and a reflection of the diligence by OTA’s comptroller’s office to demonstrate the highest levels of accounting and financial reporting, which rests on a foundation of transparency and accountability,” said Oklahoma Secretary of Transportation and OTA Executive Director Tim Gatz. “At OTA, we employ responsible Oklahomans committed to providing a safe and reliable transportation network.” 

An impartial panel determined OTA’s annual comprehensive financial report to have met “… the high standards of the program, which includes demonstrating a constructive ‘spirit of full disclosure’ to clearly communicate its financial story and motivate potential users and user groups to read the report.”
