Eastbound and westbound I-44/Will Rogers Turnpike will be intermittently narrowed to one lane in one direction at a time between 7 p.m. Monday and 6 a.m. Tuesday and continuing each week night through September between mm 307, about 5 miles east of US-60/Afton, and SH-69A/Industrial Parkway (mm 313) in Miami for pavement rehabilitation. Motorists can expect Friday night closures from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Saturday mornings for the duration of the project.
This project also will address pavement rehabilitation in the Travel Information Center parking lot northeast of Miami. While the parking lot will remain open half at a time for construction, parking will be more limited than usual.
Motorists are advised to plan ahead for delays in the area and should watch for workers.
The more than $5 million contract was awarded by the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority Board to APAC-Central.
