The Turner Turnpike will see numerous overnight closures this week in and around the SH-97 interchange near Sapulpa as construction on the expansion of the turnpike continues. The closures are part of a project to install bridge beams at the SH-97 interchange bridge.
Beginning tonight, April 30, crews will close the eastbound outside lane from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. to set up cranes for the bridge beam installation.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, May 1-2, the eastbound Turner Turnpike will be closed from exit 211 to 221B from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. for installation of the south span beams. Meanwhile, on Thursday and Friday, May 3-4, the westbound Turner Turnpike will be closed from exit 221B to 211 from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. for north span beam installation.
Motorists should make alternate travel plans during the overnight hours and obey all traffic signs within the construction zone.
