OKLAHOMA CITY—Holiday motorists traveling the Oklahoma turnpike system will see only two areas where construction will have travel reduced to a single lane in each direction.
On the Cimarron Turnpike, a bridge rehabilitation project at mile post 42 will have traffic head-to-head in the westbound lanes. And on the Indian Nation Turnpike, a pavement rehabilitation project from mile post 88 to mile post 91 will have traffic head-to-head in the northbound lanes.
In addition, holiday travelers are reminded the Vinita Service Plaza on the Will Rogers Turnpike is closed due to construction. Motorists needing fuel or food are encouraged to exit at Big Cabin, Claremore, Vinita, Afton or Miami.
Motorists are encourage to leave early and stagger their times on their return trip home to avoid heavy traffic on Sunday, December 1.
