Cherokee Service Plaza to Close in December

OKLAHOMA CITY—The Cherokee Service Plaza, located on the Cherokee Turnpike in Eastern Oklahoma, will be closing to the traveling public at 6 a.m., Dec. 3, 2012.

Motorists can find alternative fueling locations at two exits along the Cherokee Turnpike, at mile marker 6.2, near Locust Grove, Oklahoma, and at mile marker 28.5, near Kansas, Oklahoma. 

Motorists will find 24-hour fueling operations one mile north of the turnpike on State Highway 82, and at mile marker 28.5, near Kansas, Oklahoma, one mile south of the turnpike on State Highway 10, motorists will also fined 24hour fueling operations.

Motorists are also encouraged to fuel their vehicles before entering the turnpike.
