Public Comment Period Open for Oklahoma TANF State Plan
Oklahoma Human Services is seeking public comments on the proposed renewal of Oklahoma's Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) State Plan.
TANF is a federally funded program that provides temporary assistance, employment-related services and other supports to help eligible families achieve greater financial stability. The State Plan outlines how Oklahoma administers the program and provides services to families across the state.
The proposed plan is available for public review during a 45-day comment period, beginning November 5, 2026, and ending December 19, 2026.
Oklahoma Human Services welcomes feedback from the public, local governments, community organizations, service providers and private-sector partners regarding the proposed plan and the design of services.

All comments must be received by December 19, 2026.
Individuals who need assistance accessing the plan or wish to request an alternative format may contact tanf@okdhs.org.
Oklahoma Human Services will review comments received during the public comment period before finalizing the State Plan for submission to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
