The Marshallese Ministerial Alliance recently hosted a special recognition dinner to honor the Oklahoma Micronesian Coalition (OMC) board members for their unwavering commitment to serving Micronesian communities across Oklahoma. This heartfelt event celebrated the vital partnership between religious and community leaders, highlighting the ongoing efforts to support, unite, and empower Micronesians throughout the state. The evening was a powerful testament to the transformative impact of faith and community service working in harmony. Sincere gratitude goes to the Marshallese Ministerial Alliance and the OMC board members for their tireless dedication to strengthening Micronesian families and fostering unity in Oklahoma.

The event also reflected the growing collaboration between the health department and community organizations. Representatives from the health department joined the celebration, recognizing the OMC board members’ contributions and reaffirming their commitment to improving the health and wellbeing of Micronesian communities. Their presence underscored the importance of partnerships in addressing community needs, as they shared updates on current health initiatives and expressed gratitude for the continued collaboration with both the Ministerial Alliance and OMC. This joint effort among faith leaders, community organizations, and public health officials exemplifies how unified action creates stronger, healthier communities.

Terry Mote, President, and Founder of the Oklahoma Micronesian Coalition, exemplifies this spirit of collaboration. In addition to his role with OMC, Terry serves full-time at the Oklahoma State Department of Health, bridging public health services with community leadership. His dual roles enable him to connect state health initiatives directly to the needs of Micronesian communities, ensuring their voices are heard and their needs addressed. Terry’s vision and dedication has been instrumental in building healthier communities and fostering a sense of unity. His leadership continues to inspire positive change, demonstrating a profound commitment to the wellbeing and empowerment of Micronesians in Oklahoma
